The daytime area of this dwelling consisted of three spaces: a separate kitchen, a dining room, and a living room, both of which were filled with books.
The solution was found in "Reduce," the first of the 3Rs. The goal was to consolidate everything into just two spaces: a fully open kitchen, connected to the foyer with a bar and to the living room with a dining table. The living room was transformed into a spacious area with a single bookshelf that houses the essence of its inhabitants and integrates the TV, preventing it from dominating the space.
Natural pine wood played a central role in the entire intervention, from the shelves, sliding door, tall cabinets, and even the table, which became a fixed element connected to the niche cabinets that absorbed the pillar.
