OUR BACKGROUND

Niu Green is born with every reused furniture, with every ecological purchase, with every liter saved. It was born for all those who want to live comfortably, but we are concerned about the environment. Are we ignoring our environmental impact? Or do we give up comfort?

This is how our story begins: we lived in a flat in the city, but we loved nature; We wanted to live sustainably, but there were only solutions for single-family houses and new-build buildings.

In short, was it possible to live sustainably in Barcelona?

After two years of research, project and reform, of innovating and creating solutions, but also of recovering them from our tradition, we created the first sustainable home in Barcelona: Projecte À-tic. We not only lived in it, but we opened its doors, and we evaluated its results: it worked.

We decided to create Niu Green, to continue researching, disseminating, and, above all, creating unique spaces for all those who, like us, want to live and work in a more sustainable and healthy way.

I’m Pablo, an enthusiast of technology and devices, particularly those that improve our quality of life. I have a natural tendency to take things apart and put them back together again.

My mechanical spirit allows me to extend the operating life of anything I get my hands on, no doubt a family trait I inherited.

This is how I ended up studying industrial technical engineering, which soon led to me working in traditional companies. Then I decided to change: I jointly established an electrical scooter start-up and I undertook an MBA in order to top it up: entrepreneurship drives me.

At the crossroads between my hobbies and my desire to form my own project lies Niu Green.

PALOMA MARTÍN VIDAL

Hi! My name is Paloma, a restless traveller, enamoured as much by nature as the city. Ever since I was a little girl, I have made model houses, written handmade 3D letters to Santa and used my shoeboxes as models. I am unable to avoid hoarding any bit of material: it is only waiting to be transformed.

I studied Architecture, Project Management and International Development. Thus, my professional career has unfolded between architecture and cooperation, which merge when it comes to natural resource management, green construction and sustainability.

With Projecte À-tic we learnt to live in the city in a sustainable manner. Niu Green arose to enable you to do so as well.

PATRICIA BUXÓ MESTRE

I'm Patricia, I always look for balance in things. I like feeling calm and at ease with my surroundings and this is what motivates me when it comes to transforming and creating new spaces.

I have worked as an architect for ten years and I have been involved in both international large-scale projects and in local building renovations in Barcelona.

My life changed with motherhood when I started focusing on how to be naturally healthy. Since then, nutrition, yoga, essential oils, sustainability and personal development have become an important aspect of my life.

Through Niu Green I can apply in, my profession, this way of understanding life, opting for sustainable materials and creating efficient, comfortable and, above all, healthy spaces.
